What is the PURPOSE of the EsdHub?
01.
Our ultimate aim is to serve as the Enterprise and Supplier Development and Communication platform for corporate stakeholders (GEs, QSEs and EMEs) in each Municipal District throughout South Africa.
02.
Our vision is to create a thriving ecosystem where businesses of all sizes can connect and prosper. At the heart of the EsdHub lies a comprehensive online business opportunity portal, featuring a consolidated database of local suppliers.
03.
We aim to make it easy for GEs & QSEs to identify and select EMEs for their own ESD programs and procurement opportunities.
This includes the online creation of TRO’s (Tenders, Request for Quotation RFQs, Expression of Interest, Opportunities, etc.) and the automated emailing to EMEs within a business sector and geographical area of choice.

04.
This active participation by GEs and QSEs will help increase the number and value of local business opportunities available to EMEs. It will also have an impact on the overall B-BBEE scorecard for participating companies.
05.
The EsdHub empowers EMEs by granting them access to a wealth of opportunities. EMEs upload copies of Compliancy Documents required for submitting tenders. They receive alerts and access to Tender notifications, and RFQs (Request for Quotations, including e-Tenders). They are exposed to ESD intervention events, courses, and other valuable business resources.
06.
The EsdHub is designed to complement, not replace, existing procurement and supply chain processes. It enhances your efforts to support local businesses by providing a streamlined platform for identifying and selecting EMEs for ESD programs and procurement opportunities.
Through this platform, GEs, QSEs, and EMEs can work together to strengthen the South African economy.

Enterprise Development is defined as “the act of investing time and capital in helping people establish, expand or improve businesses." Enterprise development assists people in living; it helps them out of poverty; and it leads to long-term economic growth for themselves, their families and their communities.
